1. A sub-unit of an Infantry Battalion a platoon is a body of around 30 men. usually 3 Sections and a command element consisting of a Subaltern, a Platoon Sergeant and three section commanders.
2. A Vietnam war film where one soldier slowly realises he doesn't like war or the human nature very much.
